Dear all,

I am new to this D365HR, i have few set of questions to understand the customizations in HR

Kindly help me on below questions

1. Can we create new tables ,forms can be linked to dashboard

2. Based on the date is that possible to set the status in the course

3. Auto calculated fields ,auto populated concepts are applicable here

5. can we add new lookup field to bring the master data

4. Number sequence based on the employee type,is that possible to do say if its normal employee then code will in the following format" EMP -Department code-Number sequence 3 digit"

if the type is consultant "Cons-Numbersequnce"

Hi Hasini,

Dynamics 365 HR is Saas application means you cannot do any customization.

1. You cannot Create new table/form.

2. You can make it possible via power automate.

3. Auto calculation you do via power automate.

4. I think it’s not possible.

5. You cannot add lookup field but you can use custom field as lookup values.

can you help me how to do the lookup fields using custom field ,say for example i need to bring hte all the employee in one field

Note: You have to create a custom field of type: Pick List with a limited set of values. It will act as a Lookup in forms.

then bringing the master data is not possible ?

NO, That is not possible.

The only possible solution is to change or add data in the Master table and It will show in lookup form with new or modified data.
