POS will not connect to db using a standard user account

Under an administrator account, the database connects just fine on the same machine.  I've tried running as administrator and that doesn't change the results.  Possible corrupt profile?

I have the registry set for Users = Full Control.

Haven't ran into this before.

    Try adding that user to the SQL user list and make sure to assign it to that database

    This isn't on a domain, so I'm not sure how to go about that in a workgroup.  I tried \computer name\user but that of course errors...

    Can you please let me know where you are trying to connect to the database; and what error you are seeing when trying to connect?

    Just a note that Mainstream support for Microsoft Dynamics RMS 2.0 ended on July 10, 2016; and extended support ends on 7/13/2021:

    This is less than 9 months from now; and you can continue using RMS after this date but technical support will not be available.

    I would recommend checking with your partner in regard to what they may recommend as a replacement system after the extended support end date.
