Does anybody know the functionality of the cost accounting parameter "calculate cost splitting"?
It seems that cost splitting works with and without having this parameter activated.
Any hints would be highly appreciated.

Thank you for your feedback.
What I cannot understand though is why this parameter is needed.
Whenever I change the fixed and variable percentage figures for my cost categories and run the periodic job "recalculation - actual costs" I get the new cost split up in fixed and variable costs that I expect.
I actually tested this with and without having the costing accounting parameter activated and it worked in all cases (at least in my demo machine AX2012R2Cu7).
That is why I cannot understand the need for this parameter.

Hi Ludwig,
The naming of the field is a bit weird. Actually when the Value type is 'Actual cost' it will start a recalculation based on percentages from your cost splitting calculation.
Internally the field name is 'calcPercent'.
