Getting constant email server profile alerts after upgrade to Dynamics v9

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello!

We recently upgraded to Dynamics 365 v9 and now we are getting various email server alerts on a constant basis (every few minutes or so, I'm assuming when our email server is being pinged). The errors are various. Some examples are below:

Exchange server returned UnknownIncomingEmailIntegrationError

Exchange server returned ErrorMailboxStoreUnavailable exception

Http server returned ServiceUnavailable exception

Exchange server returned ErrorServerBusy exception

We are also getting constant errors on two mailboxes - mine (Admin) and one power user who uses the CRM Outlook App regularly. From what I can tell (and from testing), I can see emails between Outlook and CRM are synching (that is, emails sent via the Outlook app are showing up on their proper CRM records) and also emails sent from CRM are being delivered to recipients and also showing up on CRM records, so it appears Exchange is working, but I'm not sure why we are getting these constant errors.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Bryan

    Hi,

There are lots of reasons why this might happen - generally all to do with the health/connectivity of your Exchange Server. Are you using On Prem Exchange or Online?

Firstly check that you are using a supported scenario - docs.microsoft.com/.../supported-email-service-configurations-server-side-synchronization

I would start with checking the Exchange event logs (or the online service health portal.office.com/.../home) to see if you can find any correlating errors there.

Here are some articles that might help:

    1. Check that any plugins on create of email are not throwing exceptions - support.microsoft.com/.../unknownincomingemailintegrationerror-2147220891-exception-error-appear

    2. Check that there are no issues with Exchange - support.microsoft.com/.../a-general-mailbox-access-error-occurred-while-receiving-email-through

    3. If everything looks good I would suggest raising a support ticket with Microsoft.

    Hope this helps
