How to Add Purchase Order Attachments to Purchase Order Confirmations

Hello All -

I have a client that wants to include any attachments saved on D365 purchase orders to be included when emailing confirmations to their vendors. Is there a way to configure this functionality out of box or will a customization such as Electronic Reporting be required?

I hope we don't have out of the box feature is availble for the above approach but this can be achievalble through customization.

Hi,

This functionality is not available out of the box. Purchase Order Confirmation emails generated through Print Management only include the confirmation report and do not automatically attach documents stored in Document Management. Electronic Reporting does not provide this capability by itself. If the requirement is to include Purchase Order attachments stored in D365, a customization would be required to retrieve the Document Management attachments and append them to the outgoing email.

Hi,

This functionality is not available out of the box in standard Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. While PO attachments can be stored and shared through Vendor Collaboration, they cannot be automatically included when emailing Purchase Order confirmations. This requirement would require customization or an alternative solution such as Power Automate or an ISV like Docentric.

This requirement of sharing attachments with Purchase order confirmation is available with Docentric extension, I suggest to exploring Docentric as a document management & emailing service.
