New Price List feature - separate permission by sales and purchase

Hi team

My client enabled the new feature of Price List. They have a requirement that sales price list is updated by sales users only and the purchase price list is updated by purchasing users only. But since the Purchas Price List and Sales Price List are the same table 7000 and 7001, both sales users and purchasing users can update both purchase price and sales price...

I believe it is a popular requirement. Is it possible to control the update permission by sales vs purchase?

    Thanks for sharing the detail article! I did not know the Security Filter feature and this helps a lot.

    To say precisely my client has the requirement like below and I assume the security filtering is required as following:

    For sales users, they have CRUD access to Sales Price and No access to Purchase Price. => SecurityFiltering := Filtered is required

    For purchasing users, they have read access to Purchase price and CRUD to sales price.=> SecurityFiltering := Validated is required

    I will work with our development team if a condition can be applied for security filtering on the same table 7000 and 7001 and update the result here.
