Can't exit Great Plains for 4+ hours: multiple payables processes are running for one small invoice entry. Please help.

We posted one small Payables transaction - invoice- in Great Plains.

The invoice appropriately moved to OPEN table. We could see it posted when we run inquiry on the account. The transaction is NOT in Batch Recovery window.

HOWEVER,

1. None of the transaction reports have been printed by Great Plains.

2. Process Monitor shows the following Process Entries (still in process already for over 4 hours):

PM Transaction Posting Journal, Checkbook Posting Journal, PurgeHistory, PM_Update_Batch_Information, PP_Close_Dummy_Form, General Posting Journal, ivHITB_Trigger_glpBGBatchClenup_before, glpBGBatchCleanup

3. I can't exist Great Plains (as all those processes are running).

ANY IDEAS ON WHY THIS IS HAPPENING? COULD YOU PLEASE ADVISE HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM?

I had this kind of thing happen several years ago. We never did track down the exact cause of the error, but we "fixed" it by moving the reports dictionary to the local machine of the payables lady. Are any of the reports modified?

Ours were, and it was amazing how much of a change it made.
