Hello Ola,
You would use a 'Workflow User Group'.
------------------------------------------------------------------
To define that an approval request is not approved until multiple approvers in an approval chain have approved it, set up approvers in a hierarchy. For approver type Approver, set approvers up in the Approval User Setup window. For approver type, Workflow User Group, set approvers up in the Workflow User Groups window and define the hierarchy by assigning incremental numbers to each approver in the Sequence No. field. For more information, see How to: Set Up Approval Users and this topic.
To define that an approval request is not approved until multiple equal approvers have approved it, regardless of a hierarchy, set up a flat workflow user group. For approver type, Workflow User Group, set up approvers in the Workflow User Groups window and assign the same number to each approver in the Sequence No.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When it says 'For approver type' - It's talking about the 'Approver Type' that you've specified in the actual workflow steps.
So for an example, let's take the 'Sales Order Approval' workflow template.
If you go into this workflow the first line is 'Approval of a sales document is requested.'
Under the 'Then Response' column for this line, click on the '(+) Add record restriction' link
On the Workflow Responses screen, select the 'Create an approval request for the record.....' line
In the options there is an 'Approver Type' and it is set to 'Salesperson/Purchaser'
You can change this to 'Workflow User Group' and then specify the user group where you've created the approval hierarchy you would like this particular workflow to follow.
Thanks,
Chris
