Hi All,
I have following queries and requesting assistance on the same.
1) Can D365 Project Operations application run without D365 Finance and Operations instance as legal entity, categories, etc information comes from D365 FnO application.
2) Do we have integrated Purchase Order functionality between D365 Project Operations & D365 FnO if any item needs to be purchased. Similar to one we have in Project Management module within D365 FnO.

Good afternoon gauravvirdi,
1) By buying a Dynamics 365 Project Operations license you don`t get licenses for the Dynamics 365 Finance/Supply Chain - so yes you can run Dynamics 365 Project Operations without Dynamics 365 Finance/Supply Chain (be informed to not have therefore the full connections between Dynamics 365 CRM and ERP). You can use the Lite-Deployment in this case but as always it depends on the specific requirement we have to look about. The following image gives you an overview of the explained deployment types above and the relationship between Dynamics 365 Project Operations and Dynamics 365 Finance/Supply Chain:
2) The functionalities resp. connections between Dynamics 365 CRM and ERP with dual write depends on your licenses and your setup - yes you can have integrated processes between Dynamics 365 Finance/Supply Chain resp. Finance and Operations and Dynamics 365 Project Operations but it depends at least on the specific requirement.

1. Yes. There are 3 deployment options:
2. For Lite and Integrated, we don't have Purchase Order capabilities. We can procure released products as nonstocked materials using vendor invoices. At the moment there is no PO support for those deployment methods. Release wave plan 2 for 2021 will introduce subcontracting. Note that the F&O only deployment works as classic PMA does.
