Intercompany sales price not equal to cost price

Posted on by 45

Hi all,

looking for some help please. We have a new InterCo relationship set up in AX 2012, with the cost price = sales price enabled.

our items are all set up as Weighted Average Date.

when I create a Sales Order and invoice this, we always end up with a difference between Revenue and COGS. It’s not large, but we’re trying to understand why it’s there.

It looks like the sale price is rounded to the nearest cent, but COGS is using the average value with the trailing decimals.

I’m also trying to see if we’ve done any developments over the years that could impact this, as it doesn’t seem to be the expected behaviour.

Any ideas?

Cheers, Will

May i see the transaction & what type of Industry.   With out some more insight my stomach would lead me to believe it something is being expensed that should be capitalized into your cost basis
