We are using Dynamics 365 for Sales. Via Server Side Synchronisation we would like to automatically track all incoming and outgoing emails sent to / from our clients (contacts). Some of our clients are also employees. For these CRM contacts, we would like to exclude automatic email tracking. Tracking of correspondence to / from these employees should be undertaken manually using the track option available in the Dynamics 365 for Outlook app. Effectively we would like the server side synchronisation process to blacklist certain email addresses.
This topic was raised back in 2012 (https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/117/t/79300). The suggestion of "setting the visibility level on the Security Roles for the users" will not work for us. Does anyone know if the current version of Dynamics 365 provides new configuration options available to us to solve this problem? If as I suspect, this can't be achieved via configuration, is it possible to achieve this programatically?

Thanks for the suggestion Fikri. Ideally Dynamics 365 would provide a setting which would enable our requirement. Your suggestion is a good workaround.
Serverside sync is come along with folder tracking feature. For my recent project, all email from our clients are placed within inbox folder. For emails who won't to be tracked (exclude), we sent their emails to another folder using outlook rules. And set the server side to track inbox folder.
Thanks for your reply Varadarajan.
Unfortunately this information is not relevant to us. Because the Outlook plugin has been so unstable in previous releases of Dynamics CRM, we are now using the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook (www.microsoft.com/.../dynamics-365-app-for-outlook-user-s-guide.aspx). This does not provide the same Address Book options as the Dynamics 365 for Outlook plugin. Also, as I understand synchronising contacts from / to a users address book does not prevent emails from being tracked into Dynamics 365.
Hello Justin,
Can you check this link if it helps: www.microsoft.com/.../set-address-book-options-in-dynamics-365-for-outlook.aspx
Thanks.
