Integration of MS SharePoint 2011 List Component (on-premise) with MS CRM 2016 (on-premise) not working

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

hello,

in brief, we have 3 domains (DEV/TEST/PROD) We have MSCRM 2011 in PROD and we migrated to 2016 (no easy feet) but we have it fully working with the exception of the SharePoint 2011 List Component working nicely with CRM 2016. SharePoint locks up? is this a Service Pack issue? a roll-up issue? we've applied all of them as required?

DRE:

  • (6/15/2018) – CDM 2016 in DRE is down.

  • (6/11/2018) Resolved.  Dynamics 365 now sees the Microsoft Sharepoint List Component is installed.

  • (6/11/2018) Resolved.  Dynamics interfaces with Sharepoint and shows the document(s), now shows a list.

  • (6/11/2018) Working.  The list does not lock up like it does in IRE.  Can add a file and refresh the list and still click on and select files.

IRE:

  • (6/15/2018) Working.  Dynamics still recognizes that the Microsoft Sharepoint List Component is installed.

  • (6/15/2018) Working.  Dynamics interfaces with Sharepoint and shows the documents, properly integrated as just a list rather than the entire Sharepoint site.

  • (6/15/2018) FAIL.  Any interaction with that list causes it to still lock up.  It will respond to the first request (sort, view file, add file, etc) but it will not respond to any additional request.  Clicking does nothing.  The Dynamics part responds, just not the Sharepoint part.  A refresh (F5 or CTRL-F5) fixes the lock up.

PRE-PROD:

  • (6/15/2018) Working.  Dynamics still recognizes that the Microsoft Sharepoint List Component is installed.

  • (6/15/2018) Working.  Dynamics interfaces with Sharepoint and shows the documents, properly integrated as just a list rather than the entire Sharepoint site.

  • (6/15/2018) FAIL.  Any interaction with that list causes it to lock up.  It will respond to the first request (sort, view file, add file, etc) but it will not respond to any additional request.  Clicking does nothing.  The Dynamics part responds, just not the Sharepoint part.  A refresh (F5 or CTRL-F5) fixes the lock up.

List Component was deprecated over a year ago.  You might want to check to see if it is supported with the versions you have..
