Satisfy Item without multiple match if match exact

Currently we have items with codes like the following in our Dynamics 365 environment:

1A

1ADK

1AMK

and when we add the 1A item to the order it gives us a multiple match error.  Is there anyway to make this an unique match since the product id matches exactly without providing the need to select one of the products?

    Hi Drew,

    This is the default behavior which search for the record based on contains (instead of equals). I would not say it is an error rather a very useful feature to search the relevant record. There is no configuration/setting which can control this behavior yet.

    You can educate the end user and say this will give you all possible matches and they can select the required value. This would be helpful if they don't remember the full code but just some part. You could also introuce the wild card concepts. I am sure user will love it :)

    Hi Ravi,

    I understand this is default behavior.  Looking for a way around it because if the item matches exactly they do not want to have to resolve, this slows them down a lot.  We have used Crowe's editable grid and changed this default behavior twice with two different customers due to the same issue.  I just haven't tried changing with the standard grid from Microsoft and that is what I am concerned if there is a way to do it.
