Missing codeunit 29 and a simple solution for Dynamics 365 Business Central Spring 2019 Update

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

Just to proactively warn you about an issue we noticed in Dynamics 365 Business Central Support Service (or Microsoft CSS). If you get a message stating that codeunit 29 is missing, the root cause is simple. A wrong (old) license file. Most likely you are running a version 13 license file but the codeunit 29 is in the Dynamics 365 Business Central Spring 2019 Update.

This does mean you do have to order a new license file for version 14 / Dynamics 365 Business Central Spring 2019 Update via your Dynamics NAV partner or via the Operations Center (not via a support ticket).

Kindly let us know if you do like to hear more from Dynamics NAV support / Dynamics 365 Business Central support people reaching out to the communities proactively so that you are aware that there are issues not yet discovered externally. In addition, kindly let us know if there are other ways in addition to the communities to get this information to you.

Thank you.
