Why does my child entity require write privilege to save a new form entry?

I have a child entity (1:N) on the many side of the relationship.  It is also a subgrid on the main form.  Initially my privileges are user rights for create and read.  but when I tried saving the quick create sub grid form, it tells me I don't have the write privilege on this child entity.  It allows me to save, when I add write privilege.  It also does not allow me to save when I tried saving on the entity form (not quick create form).  Im able to save on the main form without write privilege so im not understanding why this is happening on the child entity.

    Hi,

Do you have any plugin or workflow running on your child entity which is again updating the same child record and thus you need to write privilege?
