Recurring journals - codes for the "recurring frequency" column...

Hello All,

Does anyone know where to find the various "recurring frequency" codes for the second column in the recurring journal?  I am trying to set up a reversing entry for an specific date in the future.

    Hi ait-2017 - It is a so-called date formula field, which means that you must manually enter any of the allowed formulas to indicate a period, such as 1W.

    Hi Soren -- thank you for the link, very much appreciated!  

    Somehow I am having trouble making the frequency codes work.  No matter what frequency code I use, the system is reversing the transaction the next day after it posts the entry.   Below is a quick summary of how I setting up the entry:

    Under recurring method -- I have selected "reversing variable"

    Under recurring frequency  -- I selected - CM+180D

    Not sure why it doesn't work...

    You can use recurring journals - see Søren's link to the help on this feature - but the reversing entry will always happen the next day.

    I think when the feature was added to the product we mainly thought of reversing sceanrios like period-end cost/revenue allocation and correcponding reversals (like for subsciption-like contracts where you would post the journal on last day of month and reverse first day of next month). So reversing basically only makes sense when you do it on the last day of the month (or accounting period if you're using that).

    I've created a backlog entry for us to improve the feature.

    Hi Brian -- yes, that's what is happening...

    Yes, I do use this feature for end of the month adjustments that need to reverse the  beginning of the following month.
