Changing the approuver for a leave request

Hello,

Here's the context : we have set up a leave request approval flow where after X amount of time, the leave request approbation is delegated from the manager to the HR team. This is our standard process and we do not want to change it.

However, I was wondering if it were possible to change the manager assigned to approve a particular leave request after the request is submitted. If so, how does it work ?

Hi Nina,

Not sure if I understand the process completely, but what you could do is reassign a workflow task.

That's offcourse only possible per workflow task (1 by 1) and can be used in cases where a manager is not online for some weeks and you don't want to wait for the x amount of time (as per your example) before the workflow is assigned to the HR team.

This option would be a one-off task, and should not be used for standard processes/leave request.

Hi Nina,

I agree to what Erik suggested. In addition to workflow task reassignment, you could also educate your organization about automatic workflow delegation feature. It can be setup by a manager for the time period he/ she expects to be out-of-office and it can be easily configured by navigating to Settings wheel > User options > Workflows
