How to remove HTML tags out of a report

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

we are generating a report with tasks and activities of a customer in dynamics 365.

unfortunately there are mails included, which got some HTML and CSS inside. the informations become unreadable, because of the many tags.

Is there a way to remove these tags without exporting the report ?

i already gathered some information about adjusting the report / repor file (report.rdl) - but i could not find a solution yet.

Thanks for your attention. I'm looking forward to your reply.

I can export and import the report out of Dynamics 365.

So, what do i need to change in the file?

    Hi louis12356,

You could potentially do that, but it will still require you to export the reports.

Is there no way to do this with just editing the file ?

The structure is the same as a XML file.

    Hi louis12356,

You will need to export the reports and manually edit them in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
