How to update the field which is in read only state.

i Have a closed on field which shows closed on date when i update the case[reactivate and closed again ] it should show new closed on date. but the field is in read oly state 8233.r1.PNG

i added javascript code to form so that it displays the updated form but still no plus Xrm.Page.getAttribute("new_field").setSubmitMode("always");

I would assume that your workflow runs synchronously and the field value should still update.

If not you might need to a JavasScript that will set a timeout an reload the form data to show the updated field value of your workflow.
