in Service Contract Line, We can either provide Service Item No. or Item No. What is the difference between two?

    I have another doubt, whether the warranty dates which we set in item tracking lines at sale order is used in service order warranty fields?

    nop its not mandatory  ,  but according to your requirement (if you have any to build) then yes its should be setup

    is it mandatory to convert Item into Service Item for servicing?

    Service Item is something which is been sold to customers and have been registered for service.

    And Item No. has the Item number that the service item is linked to.
