Please enable the setup below

Go to Settings > User Options > Workflow

Enable the send notification to action center

It's a configuration you need to enable.

Enable users to receive workflow-related email messages - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn

If it's not working after enabling this, your administrator needs to make additional configurations such as email templates for workflow
