How do you secure the EFT file (from AP) until it is sent to the bank? Looking for general recommendations - GP2015

Anytime I've had to send a file to the bank, they required it to be encrypted. We used PGP which uses a private/public key scheme. Once the file is encrypted, even if someone was to steal the file, they can't decrypt it without the key. So once the files are created the very next step is to encrypt the files before they are sent to the bank. Network guys can even create a directory with limited access so only specific people can get into the dir like the person running PGP on the file. If you Google PGP you can read all about it. It's also free.
Thank you Heather - that's exact what I'm thinking - just needed extra verification. :)
HI Micki
I am assuming you are referring to the file location that you save it to. Don't quote me on this one as I am not an expert in network/general computer, but one of our internal team had suggestions along this line when we were discussing this issue related to our bank product.
He had suggested a file location that you couldn't actually navigate to outside of the application. I don't know if you can "hide" files or just prevent users to navigate. Or have the output file go to one location and the upload to the bank from another with a workflow task that move the file as soon as it gets to the first location.
The answer is more about network security than GP functionality I think.
Cheers
Heather
