POS 2009 Crashes when adding new Supplier

Each time you try to add a new Supplier it crashes totally with a system.nullreferenceexception error.  Suppliers where added initially via an import I believe and this is the first time have had the requirement to add a new supplier.

I have worked around the issue by editing and old supplier directly in the DB. Any suggestions would be appreciated... I tried to get the contents of the error, but you can't copy and paste from the 'more info' window..

Do you have Service Pack 1 installed on the system?  Try to check the database.  Manager View -> Tools -> Database -> Check.  The null reference could be anything.  You could check the database log to see if the error is pointing to a sp or table.

You can also try installing SP1 if you don't already have it.
You can get it here. https://mbs.microsoft.com/partnersource/downloads/servicepack/pos-2009-sp1.htm?printpage=false

    Hopw this helps

     Hi Ed,

Thanks for the reply.  System is full patched and SP'd and database log was no use.  I did find some XML files in the %temp% location that showed me where to look.  As the products and suppliers where imported from another system and this was part of the issue.

The setup of the currencies was not correct, added them, then added supplier - all was well.  Total system crash not the best way to tell me I need sort out currencies :)

But hey ho - you live and you learn.
