HOWTO - Hard code a Freeze Pane into a worksheet

Posted on by 160

Hopefully a quick question:

I know that users can define Freeze Panes (see HOW TO - Add a Freeze Pane).

However, I want to pre-define freeze panes, and not have them editable for a particular worksheet.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks.

I know this post is 5 years old, however Google still shows it in search results.

So I will post a reply.

To pre-define a Freeze Pane "by design" you should use FreezeColumnID property of Repeater group. Details are in [View:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics-nav/freezecolumnid-property:750:50]

    Hi,

    As a standard alternative.

you can configure a profile by opening the profile in configuration mode. make the changes you want to the journals and if you want to restrict the users to make changes then you can restrict the personalisation for that profile.

As jonathan mentioned it is not possible to pre-define the freeze panes because it is a user base settings.

However all these user based settings are saved in the 2000000075 table.

Refer the link Jonathan provide you.

    hi,

it is not possible, because this is a per user setting saved in the table user metadata, but ...

    following saurav-nav.blogspot.co.at/.../freeze-pane-in-nav-2013.html

at the end of that posting you see the - for the freeze pane - according record in table user metadata. so maybe thats a starting point for you to find a solution by code.
