See above. I am customizing the sales quote report via reportextensions, and when producing the report, the data in the description 2 column is still not populating on the report. There is data in the field on the document, and I've used the syntax above before for multiple other fields on other reports, but I can't see what the issue here is.

I have set the variable, and have referenced the variable with the description 2 field for the column, and as far as I know the correct dataitem to set it on is the SalesLine data item. I have also tried creating a variable and writing some logic to have the column be the variable, but that did not work either.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi, Why use variables? If it is a temporary variable, it is empty by default and needs to be assigned to it in the trigger.

I think you can add Description 2 directly using the method below.

It is actually the Sales Quote NA report I'm adding a reportextension to. See below:

I tried this originally, and the description 2 values from the sales line were not populating on the report, which is why I went the route I did on the first post. On my first post is how the Microsoft's sourcecode is written. You can see when looking at the report's sourcecode. I have tried using the variable way without adding the temporary value to variable as well, with no success.

Any other ideas? Let me know, or let me know if you find success with when trying a reportextension on the Sales Quote NA report.

Above code is the correct solution. Values are populating on report. To clarify, the add(SalesLine) is the SalesLine dataitem on the report which is tied to the integer table, and the "Sales Line" value in the column is referencing the "Sales Line' dataitem, which is tied to the Sales line table, on the report.
