Easiest way to add new inventory

I am just starting to set up the POS. Can anyone kindly guide me the easiest way to add/import inventory. Adding one item at item seems to be too dumb for a smart pos. I have an excel file containing most of my items. I have searched and found that there are some utility programs like "quick sell", qscimport.exe, but I do not know where to get them from.

Highly appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks in advance!

See docs and sample import files for instructions.

User beware: Backup and restore a test database. Test import on that database first and verify results before running import on your live database.

Tried looking for it, but your URL is up for renewal...

Did the download, but it appears that this software requires "Quicksell Commerce" to be installed to access the "QSControls2.ocx" dependancy. And www.smspos.com is a dead URL.

    Sigh. Back to square 1

Ah! I wasn't running the utility on the right PC (many open RDP windows). Running it on the machine with the RMS software works.

    Sigh.

And yet I am STILL getting "Number of errors encountered:" (N-1, because ignoring my top row description). What the heck is causing this 3021 error in the log (which apparently is "record not found" in MS SQL-speak.

    Time to hire an SQL-jockey...
