Dear Community,
I have the following problem: A customer has thousands of contacts and a few VIP contacts. All these contacts should be viewed and edited by all users (so there is no need to work with different business units). But on the VIP contacts there are few fields should be viewable and editable only by a specific team. I can set this up correctly with the field security. But unfortunately I run into a problem with this: the email address.
If I create a separate column on the contact for this (like emailadsress1 and emailvip) it would work. But then I can't send any emails with the marketing app to the VIP contacts, because the emailaddress1 will be empty.
Have any of you had a similar problem and found a simple solution?
The workaround I can think of would be to have Marketing App always send emails to the emaivip and from the contacts that are not VIP, copy the email address from emailaddress1 to emailvip. But that would be a very big workaround that I would not want to do.
I have also thought about copying the contacts in a separate BU, but here the insights are then generated only on the copied contact and not on the normal contact.
