Dynamics SL 2011 - Detailed AR Aging in Excel

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I need a detailed AR aging in excel.  I've tried searching the SL community on how to generate this report but haven't turned anything up.  I've also generated an Aged AR and tried to export the report to excel.  This caused a lot of problems that I couldn't overcome.  Any advice would be helpful.

Trying to push SL reports out to Excel when the report has many columns that do not all align the same and/or has header and sub-total lines typical results in a spreadsheet that is less than useful.  Depending on what sort of information you really need, you would be much better off using Quick Query against ARDoc.  Quick Query results are in nice columns and it has the export to Excel button making the task very easy.  If what you need is just open documents then you can filter on DocBal not equal to 0 and you will get all open documents.
