Edit in Excel Not Working?

I am trying to mass edit my Customers by using the "Edit in Excel" feature in Financials. When I open the excel file, all the customer information is populated but when I make a change to the sheet and publish it, the changes are not reflected in Financials.

These are the steps I took.

1. Go to Customers tab

2. Click "Edit in Excel"

3. Open up Excel file, set up the Excel add-in

4. Customer records all show up in the form.

5. I make changes to various cells

6. I click the "Publish" button near the bottom right of the excel add-in.

Is there something I'm missing?

    Hello Brian,

I just tested this in my environment on the latest update and it is working.  Are you seeing an error?  Check the 'Message Center' in the lower right hand corner of the 'Excel Add-in', click the little Flag icon.

If you just change the name of one customer, does it work?  Is it only certain fields that you can't change?

    Thanks,

    Chris

I am not seeing an error. It's strange because once I publish the changes, I don't see the changes reflected in Financials but if I click "Edit in Excel" again, the NEW excel file will have the changes in them.

It just doesn't show on the actual Financials page. I've tried clearing my cache as well.

I've tried changing the Email, Customer Posting Group, and the Gen. Bus. Posting group.

    Hello Brian,

I was able to reproduce this with the Email update.  The change was not immediately reflected on the customer card.  After I navigated around the product for a few minutes it did update though.  Are you seeing it reflected on the customer card if you just wait for a while?  I had to interact with the customer card a few times before it showed up.

    Thanks,

    Chris
