ExtendedDataType : Masked for Decimal field is not showing with dots

Hi,

I am using NAV 2013 R2.  I tried to mask a Decimal field using ExtendedDataType property, but it still displays the normal value.

From the below documentation, MS claims it's applicable for all kinds of datatypes:-

Any idea?

    only works with text fields.
