Barcode Labels - Alias

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

Is there a way I can print barcode labels using the alias instead of the ILC?  Some of our ILC's from our suppliers are too large to fit on the butterfly labels we use for our jewellery items.

Thanks in advance,

Anthony

Thank you for your reply RMS Wizard and apologies for my delay in getting back to you.

I have tried your great suggestion but unfortunately for us, for items that the staff do not scan, they manually type in the suppliers ILC of which there are many which they have memorised over the years.

Since alias is a table that accepts multiple entries it cannot be used to print labels.

How about moving the supplier part number to the supplier reorder number field then assign a short ILC such as 1001, 1002, etc.?
