Hi All 

I have a customer has the following case 

inventory Account 1136 contains balance  of 12000$ 

they decided to use another Account 1140 

Now they want to move the balance of 1136 (12000$) to the new account 1140 

so the account 1136 should have 0$ and 1140 will have 12000 $ 

How can we do that ?

    if these accounts are tied to the inventory subledger....

    1 - make sure direct posting is turned on

    2 - simple journal entry

    3 - make sure direct posting is turned off

    4 - verify inventory posting setup is set to new account.

    i dont have much experiance in fainacial

    so how can i do  simple journal entry for GL ?

    Do you have a Bookkeeper or Accountant? It's a little difficult to explain debits and credits....

    You use General Journal, pick a batch name (Default is fine), Enter one line with your desired posting date, account type = GL, account no = 1136, credit or negative amount. Second line should have same posting date, account type = GL account no = 1140, debit or positive amount. Post
