Hello all,

We have setup an approval workflow and we are using a workflow user group on a standard entity. Reading this article (How to Set Up Workflow Users - Business Central | Microsoft Learn) looks like only one person in the same stage needs to approve in order to approve the record (assuming only one stage) but when testing it I can see that different behaviour (all people in the same stage has to approve).

Example:

User Group with 3 people

-Expectation (from the MS learn link above):

Record sent for approval

1 user from the group (out of the 3) approves the record

The record is approved

-How it actually works:

Record sent for approval

1 user from the group (out of the 3) approves the record

The record is still pending approval

the other 2 users approve

The record is now approved

Any help to understand this better will be much appreciated.

this is the expected behavior, all approvers in the same level need to approve before a record is released.

but you could change the workflow setting so that it only needs any one of the approver for approval
