    Hi,

SmartList to Excel export have been known to be a slow process.. I don't know what changed between 2 weeks ago and now that would make this significantly slower, but I could assume the number or records are not the same anymore.. Did you change the filters in SL to add more rows ?

As a general rule, I recommend to stay away from SL export to Excel, but would rather use the built-in Excel reports that come with GP out-of-the-box and are much faster to pull data from GP.. Almost every single SmartList has a corresponding Excel report, as they mostly rely on the same underlying SQL views.

If you're not sure if you have the Excel reports deployed, check under Administration >> Reporting Tools Setup

To build upon Beat, for large datasets Excel Excel Refreshable reports are almost always better.

If you want to learn more about then, I did a small series of blogs on it, here is the first:

but there is 1 user become very very slow in last week

You still haven't answered the basic question here: how many records are we talking about that get exported to Excel ? You may have 50 users in the network that have no problem, and then 1 that is having issues since a couple days.. My first reaction would be: how is that user connected to GP ? over Wi-Fi or plain Cat5 cable ? what's the speed of his/her network connection ? Everything under 100Mbs is considered slow for GP's day-to-day usage.. Don't even try to access GP remotely with a client over a WAN or VPN.

Do you have a Terminal Server or Citrix Server where GP is installed, which you could get this single user on to test the SmartList export to Excel ?

    400 record only

the same report from another PC is fast.

    connect to GP by Cat6.

The GP installed a local PC and connect it to DB server by ODBC.

    Thanks

Being connected by Cat6 cable doesn't mean the connection is hight speed..

Is GP the only app that has a slow performance when exporting a SmartList to Excel, or is the general network speed poor ? can you for example try to download a large file from the SQL server onto the local client (at least 500Mb to 1GB) and provide some Mbs value ?

Have you checked the ODBC setup from this computer vs. others ? is it identical ? does it use the same SQL Client version ?

Network performances issues are the most complex to debug remotely as there are so many moving parts involved..
