We tried to set-up our utilties as bill of materials because we produce some of the utlitlies that we use. So I do a monthly production order for my utilites. In posting-posting we have our production packing list set up by each utiltiy item to go to a separate finished goods utilty account. Even though these accounts should be zero, because we consume all that we produce, we wanted this to be present on our balance sheet. The offset for the packing list is set up as WIP. My probelm is that I need to offset to a profit and loss account instead of WIP. This is easily rectified if I change the accounts by item, but when I end my prodution order, AX reverses the amount in my profit and loss account, and I need my balance to show there.
