Financial>Series posting - Batch is marked and when clicked for posting errors out but then works fine 2nd time

Posted on by 4,156

I am having a very strange issue with our GP2013 R install.

We have GP2013 R2, just recently upgraded.

When a user goes to Financial>Series posting to post a batch created; it errors out with a message saying that "You have not marked any batches for posting" . But when user clicks OK, the batch still shows marked for posting and then if user clicks post again,  this time it will get posted.

Any idea for this strange behavior?

This is a reported bug. Just continue what you are doing until it gets fixed.

This has been reported previously, Joshua Page; from Microsoft, has stated that this is a known quality issue #78039. I have seen the same issue with the clients who upgraded to GP 2013 R2.

The work around solution; as Joshua provided previously, is to switch to the menu bar. Check the details on

GP 2013 You have not marked any batches for posting

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,
