I have a customer with RMS HQ and they have been updated to CU5 and they have lost the ability to edit store cost. They absolutely need this functionality.
Any one have any ideas if it is possible to re-enable this? Thanks

Thank you. They have changed their processes to work this way and it seems to be working for them at the moment.
You could try using worksheet 302. This worksheet is specifically for updating costs.

It almost looks like this change was by design
"The behavior of Style 251: Update Inventory – Item Prices
worksheet has been updated. The Cost and Profit Margin
columns have been made read only to prevent costs set by"
That's from the release notes of CU5.
Any info from Microsoft engineers whether they will make this a flag so that we can re-enable? This has caused many problems for my customer

Make sure that your customer has the latest hot fix of 2.0.2002.
