Dashboards not being hidden after configuration

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello everyone,

I am configuring a system in which I need to hide all dashboards from all users.

I have individually gone though each security role and have selected that each role can not see any dashboards.

However, after saving and publishing these changes, the dashboards are still visible.

Anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?

Thanks for your help in advance!

    Hello,

I also have the same issue and have done the same steps... I have verified with multiple test-accounts (which I also have verified that the Security Roles are correct).

Anyone has any idea why the dashboards still are showing?

    Best Regards

Hi - Did you ever sort out why this is happening?  I too am having this same issue, and I sense that it is version/build related, as I have tested the same in other environments and it works as expected. Even if you are a System Admin, if all boxes are unticked for security roles, the Dashboards should not show up. My suspicion is it is a bug, let me know if you agree or have a solution.

Test this with a user who is not a System Admin - most likely you are a system admin or system customizer and will have access to all the dashboards

    Hi,

Are you logged in as the system administrator? Have you tried logging in as a user who is not a system administrator and has a security role that you have unticked from the dashboard permissions? When you do this make sure the dashboard you don't want the user to see is not enabled for fallback.

    Hi,

Do you try to log off Dynamics 365, and login again to check whether it works?

    Hi,

    Update.

I would like to hide the dashboard named "Customer Service Manager Dashboard" for all the security roles. The following steps I take which could achieve this target.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi,

Do you refresh the web page? Please try to clear the caches and login to CRM again.
