How to make a field required on a form

I want to make the "purchaser" field a required field on our Purhase Quote form. THis way if someone fills in the form and releases without this field filled in - they get an error message saying the field needs to be completed. Does this need code to be done?

On release you can add code to TESTFIELD your field. and it will error if blank.

you need a dev license to do it
