Hi,
Is anyone else also getting this issue?
Many of my clients compaling that when BC upgrade to 27.3 version, the Search of Item Lookup page is not working and system got held

Here is the use case

User open the Sales Order

To to Line Item

Open Full Item List to Search

Put the Item Name

When user click on Item record or press Ok or Cancel

Nothing happening, they need to reload the page again and I got same issue from many of my client.

Does anybody knows the solution.

If no body know the solution then I suggest dont’ upgrade to version 27.3 because it has this major bug.

Thanks

I have the same question (3)

    Hi everyone,

We are observing the same behavior in Business Central version 27.3. When triggering the Item Lookup from a document line and applying a search filter, the lookup page becomes non‑responsive. The UI does not register OK, Cancel, or record selection, and the session must be refreshed to recover.

We have also identified a second regression introduced in 27.3.
In previous versions, hovering over the Source No. field in the Planned Production Orders list invoked the standard record tooltip, which included metadata such as description and the item’s image thumbnail. After updating to 27.3, the tooltip still renders, but the Media / MediaSet preview (item image) is no longer displayed. The functionality was fully operational prior to the update, indicating a platform‑level regression affecting tooltip media rendering.

At this time, the issue is not yet listed in the official 27.3 release notes nor in the known‑issues documentation provided by Microsoft, which suggests that this is a new, undocumented regression introduced with this minor update. [learn.microsoft.com], [learn.microsoft.com]

Until Microsoft provides a fix, we recommend monitoring the update channels for an upcoming hotfix. If anyone receives confirmation or interim mitigation steps from Microsoft Support, please share them here so others can benefit.

    Thanks for contributing additional findings.

    Hello,

Yes, this is a known regression in Business Central 27.3 affecting the Item Lookup / full list search in the web client: when users search for an item from Sales Order lines and then click OK, Cancel, or select a record, the page becomes unresponsive and requires a refresh. This is not data or customization related, is being reported by many partners/customers, and appears to be a platform/UI bug introduced in 27.3. Current workarounds are limited (typing Item No. directly, opening Items in a separate tab), and the practical recommendation is to pause upgrades to 27.3 or wait for the next cumulative update/hotfix from Microsoft.
