I need to install RSO. I cannot find it in my instance solutions. How to install RSO?

Do you use a trial or sandbax environment?

If you are using a trial or sandbax environment you are not able to install it.

"It does require a valid production Field Service instance. So you do have to have a valid license production instance of Field Service, and then you can go in through your Office 365 administration, and you can add Resource Scheduling Optimization as an additional service or add-on service on top of it." (Source: Microsoft learning portal)

Hello Maximixa,

In my previous comment, I took that paragraph from 81218AE: Mobile and Dispatch in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Field Service course in "Microsoft Learning Portal". In this course there is a lesson about RSO. So, If you have access to MLP (I'm not sure, but I think you need to have a partner account) then you can see the video/ppt which talks about RSO and RSO license. I leave the link of the course for you:

However if you don't have access to Microsoft Learning Portal, then see the following link:

In Prerequisites for RSO, click on Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide. Once you downloaded the pdf, in page 25 which is dedicated to RSO you can find more information about that. There is written "A Dynamics 365 for Field Service license is required for managing the Resource Schedule Optimization."

Now it's clear: I am trying to work in SANDOBOX and it doesn't work. I have le right licence and profile (I can use Field Service and I am Dynamics Admin in the O365 portal), but I am working in the wrong istance!

I can't use the link, I have to register my account.I am going to do it.

Hi Shayan,

I tryied in the administration center to select a Production Instance and selecting the Application link I don't see the RSO again. what's wrong?

I tryed also to do that with another user (global admin), but it's the same, it doesn't appears.

Hello Massimiliano,

If you have Plan 1 subscription (you can check it from admin portal) then go to Admin Portal and from the menu click on Purchase Service and search for Resource Scheduling Optimization then you can buy and install it.

If you are sure that you have a correct license and still can't find it, then maybe you can get in touch with Microsoft to find out that.
