Portals: How do I Enable Authorized Users to Create or Lookup Multiple Contacts in a Case Form? What permissions? Where?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I have a Case Creating form in my Portal that allows authorized users to create up to 3 new contacts or lookup their own contacts. How do I enable permissions for authorized users to create these contacts? I have to set Entity permissions, but what else?

Ok thanks, I do not have these items. I will need to do some reasearch on the paramaters for these items. I added these 3, no luck so I guess its the paramaters.

    Hi,

You chave to provide create privilege for the security role that own by that user. Setting > Security> Security role> select the roles and grant the create privilege. Dont forget the append and append to.

    Hi,

You will need to set the entity permissions but you won't be able to restrict it to just 3. Apart then Entity Permissions, you also need to have entity form/ entity list and the web link to open the page where they can add the contacts.

Have you done all this? Are you getting any errors?
