USD 4.0 : Unified Interface Window Navigation Rule (url - tel:) not working

Posted on by 2,811

Hi All,

I have configured USD 4.0 with Customer Service Hub application. I have a windows navigation rule and but this rule never triggers.

Scenario: when I clicked on the phone number in the contact/account record, it always opens the Cisco Jabber (which is default application on my machine). Since, windows navigation rule suppose to stop it, but its not working.

Window navigation rule is as follows:-

    I verified the following:

    1. Generated URL contains the tel:

    2. Navigation is of PopUp type.

    3. There is one another Window navigation rule with Order = 1, but it is not triggering (checked through debugger). Later I disabled the window navigation rule with order =1 also.

    4. Through debugger I noticed that my Window Navigation Rule with Order = 2 is not triggering at all.

One very important point to mention here that I'm using UNIFIED INTERFACE app (hosted control = Unified Interface Page).

In classic version (hosted control = CRM Page), this window navigation rule with order = 2 is triggering.

To add to Point 2, your navigation might be InPlace

    Please validate the below things

    * From the navigation that is happening, make sure that the URL contains "tel:" in it

    * Make sure that navigation is of PopUp type (Check the debugger on if any other Routing Rule is triggering)

    * Make sure that there is no other Routing Rule with Order < 2 that is satisfying the rule and getting triggered before this
