Hi,

Need information regarding D365 license for employees to access ESS.

Can employees access both ESS (D365 F&O & D365 HR) using D365 team member license?

Regards,

Vikas

    Hi Vikas,

To be able to access the Team member features for different Dynamics 365 applications, you can use one and the same Team member license: docs.microsoft.com/.../team-members-license

    Hi Andre,

So if a company has purchased D365 F&O and also D365 HR, using D365 team member license, employees in that company can be given access to ESS in F&O or ESS in HR or both of them, right?

    Regards,

    Vikas

    Hi Vikas,

That is correct. At least as all the functions which will be granted on the ESS do not require a higher license type. Not sure of you made customizations or extended a certain security role.

    Hi Vikas,

Just wanted to add quick update based on the latest licensing guide. If you have both D365F&O and D365HR in the scope of implementation:

For self service access on D365HR you can consider the following options:

    1. Use Team members license

    2. Use D365 HR Self Service license

Have a look at the screenshot below.

Also interesting to know about the D365HR self service license is the cost:
