Can we create new field in Phone call entity?

Hi, I am trying to create new field (date type) on call entity on dynamics 365 or CRM 2016 on-premise instance. System is not allowing to create new field.

Able to create same date time field on other activities like Email, Appointment, Task...

here is error details-

Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault, Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]]: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Microsoft Dynamics CRM has experienced an error.     Hello,

    Looks like your issue comes from SQL.

    I would suggest to turn on tracing - support.microsoft.com/.../how-to-enable-tracing-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm, then restart IIS, then try to create field again, get error, recheck trace files to get an explanation why does error happen.

    Hi,

    normally it is not a problem if you are a system Administrator. You can easily create a new field form the form customization by clicking new field

    Or you can go under the customization. Choose the phone call entity and click on fields.

    Then create a new field.

    I think you error comes from the lack of privileges.
