Windows App: if sandbox is present, app will use sandbox environment

Since I have created a Sandbox system (Azure based), the app will always open the sandbox system and not the production environment. How can I make the app use the production system?

    Hello,

If you log on to portal.office365, the portal will open with Office 365. You can then select Dynamics 365. What we sometimes see is that it will automatically load the Business Central while sometimes we would like to start Dynamics 365 for Sales instead.

The undocumented trick is the following. The pinned App will most likely have the following url set.

      https://home.dynamics.com/?autolaunch=true

    You can change that to:

    https://home.dynamics.com/?autolaunch=false

In your scenario, this will probably open the sandbox. After copying the url in your favorite browser and opening the page, you can press Synch to synch the apps again. The sandbox will open via url:
        https://businesscentral.dynamics.com/<guid>>/Sandbox/

The BC tenant will open via url:

        https://businesscentral.dynamics.com/<guid>>/

If you do not add the last "/", IE, Edge, Chrome may not automatically add Sandbox to it. E.g.:
        https://businesscentral.dynamics.com/<guid>>

Hope it does help you further. Note that if you use InPrivate / InCognito browsing to avoid stored cookies, etc.

Thank you for your answer Marco. I have checked but there was no autostart set-up so far. I then configured the non sandbox environment as autostart URL. Accessing the portal via browser, it will not directly take me to the selected environment. However, the app will continue to go for the sandbox. I seems that the app is not using the default setting from the portal at all.

    Hello,

Does this also happen from other PC's for other users? If the answer is yes, I think it is best to file a ticket to Microsoft or contact your Dynamics NAV reseller to ensure this is raised as an issue to Microsoft support.

    Thank you.

Just tried, it happens with any phone/PC with any user. If a new user logs onto the app, it will actually show a hint that the user has been directed to the sandbox environment but without any possibility to select a different option (apart from the option not show the message anymore).
