Data export service

Hi All,

For Dynamics 365 CRM there's a great add-on called "Data export service".

With this add-on it's possible to replicate data to a Azure database wich we can read with our own applications.
See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/dynamics365/customer-engagement/admin/replicate-data-microsoft-azure-sql-database

Is there something similar for Business Central?

Thanks,

Paul

With Intelligente Cloud Setup you can synch your on premise D365BC with an online instance. There’s no a built-in feature to replicate data from D365BC with a custom Azure SQL Database, for that you’ve actually to write your own data transfer.

Thank you for your answer Stefano, I notice that I did not provide all the neccesary data.

Right now we work with Dynamics AX 4.0 and have the MSSQL database on our own server. Therefore it's very easy for our other applications (in-house build) to access the AX data.

We are currently implementing Dynamics 365 CRM and Business Central (both online) but our other applications still need to access the data.

For CRM the replication to Azure works fine but we need something similar for BC. That doesn't have to be Azure. As long as we can query the data.

It could also mean we have to run CRM and BC on premise but we're exploring other options first.

    Thanks,

    Paul

To query D365BC SaaS data you cannot access the database, so you can use APIs or Web Services for real time queries. Otherwise you can export data with Configuration Packages or custom XMLPort and then import that data on your system.

I know this has been raised in other 365 communities, so BC customers can get their own data to publish in their data warehouse whithout using API's

    Microsoft read it..
