Error Send Email - Cannot update subject or description unless email is in draft statusDetail

Hi all, our users experiencing an intermittent problem in CRM when sending emails out.

user hit reply on email some time change from email address to team email address and type body and hit send , CRM gives Access denied error. when click on download log file get above error.

CRM window says Status Draft but its not , if refresh page it change status to Sent. Sometime emails sending out even though CRM gives error. sometime not.

Any one know why this is happening and how to fix.

    Hi Pathini,

    Can you please try to enable the Legacy forms and see if the issue still reproduces (for testing purposes) and then turn them back off again.

    If you don't see the issue with Legacy forms, them probably it's best to reach out to MS as it can be a regression.

    Hi Radu,

    We are using on premises and latest updates been done too, Leagacy form rendering is NOT turned on as it effect performances. the user who get this error most using Chrome

    I'll check the forms bcos we had 4 , 2011 , 2013 and then updated to 2016 and latest updated also done now dynamics 365.

    Hi Pathini,

    What build are you one? This sounds like an old bug.

    Have you tried updating to the latest build?

    Also, if you toggle between Turbo & Legacy forms, do you see any difference?

    Here you can see how you can toggle with the settings: community.dynamics.com/.../turbo-forms-with-new-form-rendering-engine

    From what I can recall, this happened only on one rendering type, but I can't remember exactly which one - so you would need to test.

    Also, after you enable / disable turbo forms, I suggest you clear the IE cache and reload the page and try again to reproduce the problem.
