Hi all,

When am ending report position in position master i am encountering below error:

Error is: The position you selected, or one of the positions above it in the hierarchy, reports to itself or to one of its extended reports. Check the positions for a circular reference in the management hierarchy.

Have checked all the reporting hierarchy (for the selected reports to position field value) and I don't see any circular reference that is going on. Wanted to hear if any of you came across this error.

Hi,

did you manage to solve this issue? I am getting the same error, and I've checked the hierarchy but I don't see any circular reference.

Did it got resolved? Am facing this issue now. There is no circular reference and still I can see the error.

Hi there, I just experienced this issue when trying to assign a worker to a different manager but the following workaround worked for me: Instead of using Edit or End, I used +New and assigned the new manager. It worked with no error mssg and the hierarchy was updated accordingly.

I also confirmed that the system then allowed the position to be ended with no error mssg.
