for EDT , you need to change the size for EDT
Hi Hakim,
The string size is associated with Extended Data Types and I tried to change it in the EDT. But it is throwing some error.
Is there any other solution?
can you share screen shoot from error
Sorry for the delay in reply.
Please Find Attached Below.
Did you synchronize database after changing size of EDT? If not... please do it - I believe it will help.
Best
Sebastian
Hi Sebastian,
Yes I have done synchronize also.. But no luck.
Any other option?
When exactly the error is thrown? Are you trying to open up the specific form?
Can you please say which EDT you changed?
Did you recompile the application after the change?
Hi,
I will explain in detail.
I have one field named "Customer Reference" in SalesTable and its EDT is custRef(custRef has 60 stringsize).
So i checked custRef EDT. This extends personName and has stringsize of 60,again i checked PersonName EDT and this extends Name EDT. Finally i reached to Name with string size of 60. I tried to change stringsize of Name EDT,because that is the base. But after changing this, nothing was working properly. So i thought to create new EDT and attach it to Customer Reference field, that also not working. after changing that when i open 'All sales orders' from Sales and Marketing module, the above error is getting. So i reset it to previous one and now it is opening properly.
I tried to change it in the database also using alter table option, that also throwing error. some privilege issues.
I have done synchronization compilation everything.
I just would like to know, if any other solutions for this.
